Our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 6:30 PM.

Our guest speaker will be Suzi Hanson-Harr. Suzi is a local photographer and is very creative. Her bird photography is excellent and along with her other photography experience will make for a very enjoyable evening discussing various subjects and technique. Suzi has been a participant in many Arts Festivals displaying her photography. Her current First Place photo in the MDCA Photography Club Exhibition is on display at the MDCA Gallery. Suzi also sells her work at the Gatehouse Gift Shop adjacent to the Lakeside Inn.

Come and enjoy a great evening of photography - bring a friend!

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 6:30 PM in the Gallery at the Mount Dora Center For the Arts.

Our speaker will be Mark Vaughn. Mark is a local photographer and does excellent commercial photography. He has camera and video experience from different areas of the world and his portrait photos can only be described as phenomenal.

Please plan to come and bring a friend because this will be a great photo experience!

I will be speaking at the Mount Dora Center for the Arts Photography Club at 6:30 pm and my topic is, "Stirring Up the Photographic Passion Within You". After the meeting, I will be available for a portfolio review of up to 3 images in either print or digital format. The meeting and portfolio review is complimentary. Richard Koch will give a presentation about matting your photos. There will be a short survey to fill out and several other subjects related to photography. Our next meeting is on Monday, March 14, 2016 - the 2nd Monday of the month.

The main topic will be Portrait Photography.

Our guest speaker, Malcolm Yawn, has had a studio in Mount Dora for over 22 years and is an excellent photographer. Malcolm does wedding, corporate, and family photography. At one time he even photographed a US President! Malcolm has been a good friend to the MDCA Photography Club. He was the guest speaker at our very first meeting and volunteered as a judge at our first photography exhibit a year ago. We are very fortunate to have such a a talented photographer with so much skill, knowledge, and experience for our guest speaker! Don’t miss it!

The GRAND OAKS CLASSIC & SUPER DERBY 2016 is officially underway!

February 12, 13 & 14, 2016 -- Events will start at 9:00 am and end approximately 5:00 or 6:00 pm. Please bring your own lawn chair if you prefer. If you are planning on eating at The Bistro it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you make reservations — please call 352.750.9500.

Free admission, spectators welcome! Come sit ringside at the Front Arena to see Pleasure Driving competitions, Combined Trials, and the Super Derby.

Looking to do more with textures? Why not join our Images that Speak "Textures" class from 10am - 3pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Clermont, FL. You will learn how to add textures and text to your photos in Photoshop and create your own textures using Photoshop. You will be given sample photographs and textures to practice with so make sure to bring your laptop to class.

Our next meeting is tomorrow, February 8, 2016 ~ the 2nd Monday of the month.

We will meet at the Mount Dora Center for The Arts at 6:30 PM, then walk to several sites around downtown Mount Dora for a night Photo Shoot. If anyone is late, our first location will be at 4th and Baker.

Jeff Phillips from All About Images will plan to join us (schedule permitting). All About Images will award the best photo of the night with an 8 x 10 print. Please email your best photo of the night to Jeff Phillips at: [email protected]. Thanks again to Jeff Phillips and All About Images!

Our March Photo Challenge will be “Night Photos of Mount Dora". This will be an excellent opportunity to snap that winning photo!
