Origin of the rainbow….. The God who created all things, is the One who determines all things, sustains all things, and controls all things forever. Trust Him and His truth, not man and his lie.

I was a junior in college and whenever the Cup series rolled into the Fairgrounds I would grab my camera and a few rolls of tri-x. This is 47 years ago during Friday practice, the day before the Nashville 420 Cup race. ©David Mudd Photography

Here's one from a few years ago..... actually 43 years ago from this very night- May 11, 1983, Fenway Park, Boston, MA.

This was my first trip to the Boston area where Diana grew up. We went up there to visit relatives of her's and to do some of the touristy stuff while in town. One night we decided to go see a Red Sox game, so we along with her brother George went into town and bought tickets to the game.
We weren't even sure the game would be played or not, as it rained off and on during the day and the temperature was probably in the 40's accompanied with a stiff blustery northern breeze. Due to the weather conditions Reggie Jackson of the CA Angels did not play, and neither did Carl Yastrzemski of the Red Sox. Not a big crowd that night but we had great seats- 3 rows from the field between the Boston dugout and the on deck circle.
The photo I snapped here is of Bobby Clark of the California Angels touching homeplate after belting the game winning homerun. I also see that there is a reference at the bottom of the boxscore page that says the start time weather was "unknown"..... let me tell you, it was COLD!!!

"O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!"
