Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE my chickens! I will talk about chickens any chance I get. I hatched this batch this spring. My kids loved watching the whole process. I had 19 chickens.

This weekend while we were out of town the neighbors' dogs killed 14 of them. I'm heartbroken 💔 to say the least.

This is my Mom Bonnie. I don't even have words. Her sudden passing has left me feeling numb. I keep having the thought, oh I'll just call her tomorrow and this will all go away. But I can't.
She is my calm and steady. The reason that I can keep going through this crazy life. Her wisdom and love will be greatly missed. She taught me about unconditional love. Always love first she said.
We aren't biologically related in anyway. But she always said I am her daughter and she my mom. I will miss you Mom ❤

Christmas looked different this year. It felt different. No matching PJ's. No big parties with friends. We kept it small. But while I was wondering if maybe I hadn't done enough for my kids this year. My 6 year old son gave me a big hug and said best Christmas ever, mom!
I'm especially grateful for my kiddos this year. Today we're watching Star Wars (the original trilogy) and eating yummy food. Hope y'all have a relaxing post Christmas weekend!

First time backpacking was a success!!! Let me tell you I experienced nature!
I swam in a lake with a beaver.
Saw a Black bear, yes a BEAR.😳🐻
Saw three moose.🐃
And to top it off I saw some Bald Eagles 🦅(they're my spirit animals).

Needless to say, I'll be going again soon!
