Before we head out to photograph their wedding, we wanted to share a few favorites from their engagement session.

Today is going to be full of love, happy tears, familiar faces, and the kind of moments we already know we’ll be excited to send in their sneak peeks.

Hi, it’s us. Alexis (she/her) + Katrina (she/her).

Married photographers. Q***r business owners. Timeline wranglers. Snack enthusiasts. Professional “wait, the light is so good right here” people.

On wedding days, one of us is usually watching the schedule, one of us is catching the emotional side quest happening across the room, and both of us are trying to make sure you feel like you can actually breathe and enjoy your day.

Behind the scenes, it’s a lot of editing, emails, planning, laughing at our own jokes, hauling gear, and saying “okay but what if we…” at least 12 times a week.

We’re really lucky this is what we get to do together.

The kind of wedding where you could feel the love in every corner; the getting ready nerves, the tiny glances, the people who showed up fully and loudly, the little pockets of calm, and that unmistakable just-married glow.

Sneak peeks are always special; a first look back at the day before the full gallery is ready, when everything still feels fresh and a little surreal.

Happy International Drag Day to the performers, artists, icons, chaos goblins, gender magicians, and absolute legends who remind us that self-expression is powerful as hell.

Drag is art.
Drag is resistance.
Drag is joy.
Drag is community.
Drag is storytelling, survival, glamour, humor, protest, and play.

We love the way drag makes room for people to be bigger, louder, softer, stranger, bolder, and more fully themselves.

Here’s to the performers who give us permission to take up space, try things on, make a scene, and be absolutely unforgettable. 🖤

Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day. 💛🤍💜🖤

A tiny but important wedding vendor reminder: gender-inclusive care is not complicated. It just requires paying attention.

Ask for pronouns.
Use the words your couple uses for themselves.
Don’t assume who is wearing what, walking with whom, changing where, or being called what.
Replace “bride and groom” with “couple,” “partners,” “nearlyweds,” or their actual names.
Make your contact forms, timelines, and posing language welcoming before someone has to ask.

No one should have to shrink themselves to fit into a wedding template.

July is Disability Pride Month, and we keep thinking about one wedding where accessibility was handled with so much care and creativity.

One of the couple’s wedding party members had mobility constraints and walked with a cane. Instead of making them feel different, left out, or like they had to “figure it out,” the couple worked with the amazing Auntie M's flowers to create floral tattoos for the wedding party instead of handheld bouquets.

Which meant no one had to carry flowers.
Everyone matched.
Everyone was included.
And the flowers looked incredibly badass.

Accessibility does not have to mean sacrificing beauty or style. So often, it just means asking better questions, listening to people’s actual needs, and being willing to rethink the “normal” way of doing things.

Inclusive weddings are thoughtful weddings. And thoughtful weddings are always more beautiful. 🖤

Chris (he/him) + Kyle (he/him) came to their engagement session with a vision.

They sent us inspiration photos from the Ember & Ice shoot with Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie and, respectfully, we screamed.

So naturally, we started planning a studio session with them immediately.

For now, here are the classic engagement photos, sweet, cozy, very them, and full of that “oh we’re really getting married” feeling.

But just know… there is more coming. And we are unwell about it in the best way. 🖤

Your wedding does not have to look like anyone else’s wedding to be worth documenting beautifully.

Backyard with your chosen family? Yes.
Big dance floor energy? Absolutely.
Tiny ceremony followed by tacos? Obsessed.
A day full of q***r joy, big feelings, soft moments, chaos, snacks, and people who really love you? That’s the good stuff.

We’re currently booking weddings, elopements, and celebrations for couples who want photos that feel honest, warm, and fully them.

June, you were so good to us. 🌈

We loved getting to spend this month celebrating q***r love, q***r families, q***r history, q***r joy, and the people who make this community what it is.

And while Pride month may be wrapping up, Pride does not end here.

Q***r people are not seasonal.
Q***r love is not a June-only celebration.
Q***r vendors, couples, families, artists, friends, and communities deserve to be supported, protected, booked, listened to, and loved all year long.

So yes, we love the glitter and the rainbows and the extra-loud joy of June.

But we’ll still be here.
Still q***r.
Still photographing love.
Still making space.
Still celebrating our people.

Pride is year-round.
