Mallory Thomas, a graduating Strategic Communications and Media major hailing from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), shares her story that has led her to become a professional at 21.
During her years at MVNU, Mallory has served her community members as an Academic Peer Mentor, a Writing Coach, an Administrative Chairperson on Student Government, and a Communications Department Assistant.
Mallory’s passion, expertise, and outgoing personality consistently allow her to lead in key roles. In the summer of 2021, she excelled in her role as the Media and Community Relations for the Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival. She looks forward to tackling new challenges as the Corporate Communications Intern at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company in Dayton, Ohio.
In her free time, Mallory stays active in her community. She loves to stay moving at Zumba classes led by one of her voice instructors. In MVNU’s Spring 2022 theatre production, Anne of Greene Gables, she added a hilarious edge as ten-year-old Gertie Pye. Her coworkers, mentees, professors, and friends alike adore her for her eagerness to excel at her craft while maintaining an empathetic ear. Friends of Mallory would describe her as bubbly, introspective, adventurous, passionate, and powerful.
