Matt and Angie said their vows underneath the painted dome ceiling of a San Antonio chapel. The day was warm, and a little windy, not enough to chill you but enough to give her veil a life of it's own. After the ceremony, we slipped away for portraits on the chapel grounds where we made quick work of the fading evening light. As soon as the sun slipped behind the stone wall of Lourdes Grotto, Matt helped Angie - along with the dress she designed herself- into their limo and onto their cocktail hour.
When they arrived they were greeted by an all women mariachi and of course - martinis. They went from guest to guest, greeting, laughing, crying. Dinner was shared over serpentine tables that were dripping in florals and candlelight. And when the lights were turned down, the music was turned up. We went from shared tears in soft golden light during dances and speeches, to full, concert level entertainment complete with at least five different lead singers, a full band, vibrant lighting effects, and ALL of the energy.
It was truly a night to remember. But in true Luna + Lion fashion - we of course made them round off the evening with some barely lit, candlelit portraits before sending them off into their forever. Congrats you two! It was an absolute honor.
