Photos from Mount Vernon football and the Mount Vernon, Iowa bands tonight. A perfect weather evening. The presentation of the "Colors" tonight by the Legion stirred up more emotions than I expected on the 25th Anniversary of 9-11 attacks.

It was a great evening with The Instigators Big Grove Brewery IC as they helped Cora celebrate her birthday and helped raise money for her medical care. Loved this band back in the day and was great to hear many of their originals.

I have not caught 2 Blues shows in one night since my twenties... but had to catch Kevin Burt's Album release party at CSPS Hall. I first heard Kevin back in the day...I was shocked he was not performing on the biggest stages...glad he is finally getting the accolades he deserves. His shows are a "soul nourishing" the mix of his life stories, and his sense of humor is a winning combination. PS Joined by his beautiful daughters for a song made the evening extra special.

It was great to catch 10th Street Rapids at Cedar Ridge Vineyards, Winery & Distillery last evening. Celebrating Chris Shroyer and Candy Kerkove Shroyer Anniversary and a fundraiser to end MS. Keep an eye Griffin Shroyer and his buddies I predict they are going to be very successful musicians.
