Super stoked to announce that I'll be leading a free photo walk in downtown Charleston sponsored by Fujifilm and Luminar on March 21st from 6-8 p.m.

I've been tasked with creating the photo walk route and leading the group along the route through downtown Charleston. We'll be photographing some of the most historic streets and architecture that Charleston has to offer during peak golden hour.

Fujifilm will be providing a camera and a Luminar representative will be on hand to answer questions. I'll be sharing some of my personal techniques, tips and tricks and just talking everything photography in a laidback setting.

The night sky slowly surrenders to dawn on Sullivans Island.

The Milky Way is faintly visible from Sullivans with the naked eye, but a camera can pick it up much better. This is a single, 20 second exposure, taken with my Z6 and 20mm f1.4 lens. I took this on Thursday morning.

If you would like to try and see the Milkyway, the best conditions are right after a new moon, when it's clear and cold (right after a front pushes through, optimally). You need to get out an hour or two before sunrise and look to the Southeast horizon. As we get further into Spring the Milky Way will rise earlier and earlier until you can start to see it after sunset in the Summer.

Some of my best shots from 2023 are now available in my 2024 calendar which is now available for purchase!

For the photos in this year's calendar I went back to my roots. The photos are focused on landscapes and drone photography from around the Lowcountry including many recognizable and iconic locations. There may be a dash of wildlife in there for one month too 😉

I'm not big into selling/promoting myself, I truly just like being out creating. However, if you would like to support my work directly, this would be the best way right now. I do have a limited amount calendars, so when they're gone they're gone.
