A moment of vulnerability: Photographer edition! 😀
I anticipated competing this weekend, devoting the time to my horse that she deserved both before and after my run. I brought my camera along as a secondary, as I rarely even leave the house without it, lets be honest.
I recently had one of my best lenses serviced - and looks like I will be sending it back in! I started with the open this Saturday, and to my surprise - my settings, although they were not changed or altered at all - images were not matching what I was shooting.
I was able to swap lenses out pretty quickly, but this made me realize something. We are not able to perform at 100% all the time, even if we work on ourselves.
This has brought me to the decision to refine my process post race. I will be trying it out for a period of time, so please be patient as we navigate this new process together.
All images will be reviewed by me prior to purchase. I will (for the time being) no longer be offering instant downloads. Heres why - I spend hours behind the lens (sometimes DAYS). Some images may be a touch out of focus, require a small crop adjustment, lighting change, etc. I stand behind all of my work, and want to produce the best quality possible as well as a reasonable turnaround time. I have implemented a 24-48 hour turnaround.
There will be no upcharge for this change, in fact prices will remain the same.
I am going to post below some examples of what I mean - and using the lighting in an indoor arena is proof that I am making a smart move on my behalf. (Each photo caption explains how/what the current settings were)
Thank you all for understanding - and if you made it to the end of this post.
