Confidence has never come naturally to me.

For years, I struggled to fully be myself.

I worried about what people thought.

I wanted to fit in.

I wanted to get it right.

And somewhere along the way, photography taught me something beautiful.

The goal was never perfection.

The beauty was always in being known.

In being seen.

In being loved exactly as you are.

That's why I don't chase trends.

That's why I don't force moments.

That's why I don't expect you to show up knowing exactly what to do.

Instead, I guide gently.

I encourage you.

I create space for you to simply be yourselves.

Because the most beautiful photographs aren't created when you're trying to impress anyone.

The groom has meaningful details too. 🤍

When people think about wedding details, they usually picture the dress, the shoes, the invitations, and the flowers.

And yes, those are beautiful.

But some of my favorite details to photograph belong to the groom.

The watch his grandfather gave him.

The cufflinks passed down through generations.

The Bible he reads every morning.

The letter from his bride.

The gift she picked out because she knew he'd love it.

The little pieces of his story that helped shape the man standing at the altar.

I love hearing about those details on a wedding day.

The stories behind them.

Why they matter.

Who gave them to him.

Because they aren't just accessories.

They're reminders.

Of family.

Of friendship.

Of the people who invested in him long before this day arrived.

And years from now, when you look back through your wedding gallery, those photos become even more meaningful.

They're a glimpse into who he was in this season of life.

The son.

The brother.

The best friend.

The man preparing to become a husband.

Those details deserve to be remembered too. 🤍

Some wedding days stay with you long after they're over.

Rey & Katie's wedding day was one of those days. 🤍

They chose to get married at Katie's grandparents' home in Virginia, nestled in the sweetest little town surrounded by rolling green hills.

And when I say it was special, I mean it.

They literally walked from the historic family home to the church.

The entire day felt meaningful.

Intentional.

Full of stories and generations of love.

One of my favorite parts was getting to spend time with Katie's grandpa. He shared story after story throughout the day, and by the end of it I was pretty much ready to claim him as my own grandpa. 😂

He was the sweetest man and would have done absolutely anything to help make the day perfect.

And speaking of perfect...

Katie and her mom, Virginia, created the most beautiful celebration.

Virginia was sharing all the ways they brought the vision together, and honestly? I wanted to hire her for every wedding after hearing everything she had done. 😆

Every detail felt thoughtful.

Every space felt welcoming.

Every moment felt filled with love.

All week long we prayed the rain would stay away.

And God answered those prayers.

We had the lightest little mist, everything stayed beautifully green, and the entire property looked absolutely breathtaking.

The portraits.

The scenery.

The atmosphere.

It all felt like something out of a storybook.

And Rey?

He is clearly head over heels for Katie.

The way he looked at her all day said everything.

What a beautiful bride she was.

What a beautiful marriage they are beginning together.

We'll be talking about this wedding and sharing stories from it for years to come.

Congratulations, Rey & Katie. We love you guys and feel so honored to have been a small part of such a meaningful day. 🤍

The big picture of the reception space when everything first comes together.

The tiny meaningful details tucked throughout the room that guests may not even realize hold significance.
