BUSINESSES BEWARE! SCAM!
I had a lady message me to book a birthday session for “her daughter” everything seemed normal.. we set a date, time, place, etc. She wanted to send payment via Venmo, so I sent her a screenshot with my QR code to pay. This is where things took a turn. She said Venmo would send me confirmation through my email and I need to check my spam folder (who says that?) then said the payment was on hold because she was trying to send from a business account. I never received anything on my Venmo or any notification on the app directly. Only a sketchy email. Screenshots are below of part of our conversation, the email I received (FAKE) and an explanation of the (somewhat popular I guess) scam that is going around. She immediately blocked me after I sent her the google screenshot.
