I absolutely love capturing newborns with their family, in hopes that you will print them and hang them all over your walls. If you don't have space to hang prints on your walls, a digital frame like Aura Frames is a great option. I have it in my living room and use the app to add photos to it every so often. You can also share the app with others and and then upload your photos to a parents or family members frame. My grandma and mom and I all have a frame and we upload photos to my grandmas, so she can see all of the new ones while she is in her living room.

After all of the family and sibling photos are captured we then move into only newborn photos. I have tons of props and swaddles and little accessories for almost every theme. I always talk with parents before the session to get a feel for colors that they want or do not want. There is no need to bring anything to your session for your newborn to wear, because I have almost any color swaddle that you could want. I have headbands, bonnets, hats, felt lovies, bows, and even small backdrops with different themes/colors for newborns.

Not only do parent photos start at the very beginning we start with siblings as well, so they are not completely over it at the end. Depending on how old sibling is, we can do laying down, holding in lap, or if they are older they can hold them as parents do on the bench. I make sure and communicate with parents before choosing the best posing for them to hold their newborn sibling.

Parent photos are done at the beginning of a newborn session so that the parents can sit back and relax after they are done. I have a big comfy green couch that you can lay back and watch the rest of the session on.
