Back in November, my office at Ball State hosted a silent auction in support of the United Way Campaign, which helps improve the lives of families in our community. Over the past couple years, I’ve contributed a photography session, and it’s become a meaningful way for me to give back.

This year, my friend and coworker Stacey won the session and passed it along to her daughter. Today I had the chance to photograph Cassie, Travis, and Teddi, and it was such a fun experience. Teddi even joined in as my little assistant and captured a few shots of her mom and dad with me.

Opportunities like this are a great reminder of why I love what I do, especially when it also supports a cause that matters to both Ball State and me.

I had the opportunity to photograph Mylasia’s home dedication last week through Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity works alongside individuals and families to create safe, affordable housing—helping build a sense of stability, dignity, and hope. This dedication felt especially meaningful, as Mylasia’s mom is also a Habitat homeowner, making it a truly full-circle moment.
