One day, Christmas looks a little different. ❤️

They’re taller. The toys have changed. The magic they once believed in so completely starts to grow up right along with them.

And suddenly, the photographs from when they were little become everything. ✨ This one hits very close to home for me personally with now a 19 and 13 years old 🥹

That’s why I love creating Christmas portraits that feel like childhood — magical, imaginative, and meant to be kept long after this season has passed.

First, mama beneath the moon. Then, the little girl she was waiting for. 🌙✨

When we created mama’s maternity portraits, I already knew I wanted her newborn session to feel connected — like two chapters of the same story rather than two completely separate sessions.

So when her baby girl arrived, we brought the moon back. The same dreamy pinks, florals and little bit of magic… only this time, the little girl we had been waiting for was finally here. ❤️

That’s one of my favorite parts of photographing both maternity and newborn sessions. We can thoughtfully plan them together so the finished portraits feel like they belong to one story — from the months spent waiting for her to those first photographs after she arrives.

And then we somehow managed to get all three girls smiling at the exact same time — including baby. 😂❤️ I’m pretty sure that deserves its own little bit of magic.

Someday, these girls will be able to look back at these photographs and see where this chapter of their family’s story began.

Same moon. A whole new chapter. 🌙
