I realized early on just how fast children grow up and how quickly my memories fade. Picking up an old camera was my way of saving those memories, it blossomed from there. To me, photos capture a moment in time, a moment that can never be repeated, a crooked smile that your baby outgrows, the cupcake Icing from your daughters first birthday cake, the bond of a family, the love between a man and wo
man. Capturing each little moment and detail, then turning it into art for someone to cherish the rest of their life is what I love to do. I feel photography is more than just documenting what a person looks like. It's about capturing life in the moment and preserving the memory of time. It's about capturing each person's unique story complete with bare feet, bright colors, candid emotions and just a touch of whimsy. Some of the best photographs are born out of the most unexpected moments; moments full of joy and expression; the moments when people are feeling true emotion and not waiting to be photographed. I have had the beautiful opportunity to professionally capture the love, life and light around me for at least a decade. Moments not just posed, but overflowing with the spirit, love, laughter and cherished expressions of those that mean the most to you.
