During my trip to Florida in March, I had the pleasure of visiting Apopka, Merritt Island, and the Orlando Wetlands for the first time. With the company of Kelly Kennon and Linda Hubbard added to the enjoyment, and we were all thrilled to see the stunning birdlife.

Had a fantastic day kayaking and socializing with Carolyn on Hanging Dog. The lake is especially beautiful when it has mist on it early in the day.

Kelly and I went on a hike today and successfully found some mushrooms. Here are a few of our best finds.

Kelly and I started at 5:30am heading toward Cherokee to meet up with Georgia to find some elk. We found them and enjoyed there play and bugling. Off to Blue Ridge Parkway to find out that they had snow up there so they closed it until 11 o’clock and we went up and enjoyed the view. Then off to a few different places, finding all sorts of wonderful little mushrooms, bugs, and waterfalls. Thanks for the beautiful day girls!
