On Friday evening Kris and I were watching the local news station tracking the Mayfield tornado. We were directly in its proposed path. Gradually, it appeared that it might veer slightly north. That's when the Spectrum cable got severed and we lost the news feed and internet. Soon after that we lost power. Thankfully the path of the tornado did go to the north and we did not suffer any direct damage. On Saturday I went to Mayfield, armed with my cameras to witness the aftermath. Internet wes just restored this morning, which is when I learned that it was an EF4, with 190 mph winds.

I got an interesting phone call two weeks ago. A member of the Murray State board of regents was planning the Christmas gift for the University president. The idea was a sketch of a meeting between the first university president and the current one. Here is the finished sketch.
