These family films require a big time and emotional investment from me and sometimes I wonder if I should offer them at all, but really that's a joke because I just can't stop making them. It's where my heart is. I love giving families these time capsules with voices and laughter and hugs and kisses and movement. Lots and lots of movement in this one. ☺️ This season of life with young kids can feel crushing sometimes and making a film is a lovely way to pause, see it from an outside perspective and cherish it a little bit more. They help you see the beauty and save those sweet and funny moments to treasure for years and years to come.

I can fit one more film this summer and a few in the fall if you're interested in one of your own. Since they require so much time editing they are more pricey than photos, but some families book in advance and pay little by little. Let me know if you want to work something out. ❤️

My favorite sessions usually start with mom saying something like "things are crazy but we're just going to wing it!" because the closer I can get to witnessing your regular, non styled life, the more meaningful and (in my opinion) beautiful the photos and film will be.

My amazing photographer friend Megan and I have been trying to make this video session for her family happen for over a year and we finally did it!! I was in heaven following her hilarious, adorable family around as they hung out in the yard and took a walk around their neighborhood. These ordinary moments are what a beautiful life is made of. I can't wait to edit the film!

I don't get to see this little guy nearly as much as I want to, so it was extra special to be able to zoom in on his cute little personality and my very favorite bear paw hands and adorable dimples for a few hours to make this film.

I might be biased, but I think these short and sweet little films are the perfect way to bottle up ages and stages that only last for a little while.

When I filmed this sweet family I was feeling extra weighed down by all the craziness happening in the world. It was such a gift to be able to focus in on the innocence, love and connection in this family, and to remember all the good that still exists. Thank you for giving me that gift, Lindsay.

It never gets old- stepping into a family's home and witnessing the simple interactions and ordinary moments that are the very most important to them. The love these three have for each other is beautiful. I hope this film preserves a little piece of the joy in their home during this fleeting season of toddler squeals, finger painting and block towers.

This year vs five years ago. The fierce love she has for her brother hasn't changed!

Both of these moments were spontaneous and I was so delighted to catch them.

I feel so blessed when I get to reconnect with families year after year and watch their love evolve and their kids grow.

This was my first time filming a family with such variety in ages, and it was a blast!!

While we were planning, this mama (an amazing cousin of mine) told me that her hope was that her little ones could watch this film years from now and see what it was like when all of their sisters lived at home and loved playing with them.

Family dynamics change so much through the years. I love that these films create a little time capsule to bring us back to the fleeting stages.

This family found out their beloved Grandpa didn't have much time left, so they hired me to document a front yard family campfire. Grandpa wiping faces and hands, laughing at kids' jokes, singing silly songs and giving teary hugs were some of my favorite golden moments.

The ordinary evenings with family are the ones you will miss. This is why at home sessions forever and ever have my heart.
