We had such a wonderful time photographing this sweet family at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina!

From the beautiful historic architecture of Atalaya Castle to the sandy beaches and natural dunes, this location gives us so many wonderful opportunities to capture a variety of family portraits during one session.

And can we talk about these coordinating tropical outfits?! The vibrant blues and colorful floral patterns look absolutely beautiful against the soft sand and natural sea oats.

Okay, seriously... HOW CUTE ARE THESE THREE?!

We captured this adorable moment during a sunset session at Holden Beach, NC, and I just love everything about it!

The matching yellow outfits. The windblown hair. The big smiles.

And especially that littlest sister right in the middle, doing her best to keep up with the big girls! 😂❤️

This is exactly the kind of photograph that makes my photographer heart happy.

Because while I absolutely love a beautiful, perfectly posed family portrait, there's just something about letting kids be KIDS.

PARENTS! This one's for YOU!
When was the last time you had a really nice picture of just the two of you?
And no, that blurry selfie from date night doesn't count.
I absolutely LOVE photographing the whole family, but there's something special about pulling Mom and Dad aside for a few minutes during a session.

Who says you have to stand still for family pictures?!

Not me!

Give me the windblown hair, the sandy feet, the belly laughs, and the kids running full speed down the beach!

Just LOOK at these two sisters!

Holding hands, hair flying everywhere, and having an absolute blast at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, SC.

This is the kind of stuff I LOVE capturing.

Don't get me wrong. We're absolutely going to get those beautiful family portraits where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling.

But we're ALSO going to let the kids be kids!
