Lauren and Evan got married on a reservoir in Colorado Springs, surrounded by mountains and fall foliage. Not because they're from Colorado, but because on our first call, Lauren told me they both feel God more outside in nature than they do in a building.
That stuck with me.
Their ceremony was short and sweet. Their closest family and a few friends stood around them, witnessing their covenant in a place that actually felt like them. No trying to meet a standard. No pleasing expectations. Just an intentional decision about who they are as a couple and where they wanted to say their vows.
It looks simple, but there's so much beauty and meaning behind choosing Colorado and choosing the people who were there. That's what I love most about this work - when couples make decisions that feel true to them, not just what they think a wedding should look like.
There's so much more goodness from the rest of their day that I can't wait to share, but I wanted to give their ceremony a moment on its own.
One of my favorites the team has shot🤍
