There has been a recent trend of photographers changing their policies regarding posting children's faces. While I respect that, my policies are not changing.
I already have policies in place to help with children's safety - and honestly, everyone's safety.
Every client who has a paid, private session has the option to not have their child's images posted online. No questions asked. This has been a part of my contract since I first started photography.
I can see all of the activity in your Pixieset gallery. Every download, every person who visits, even if they don't download. Even if they have already visited before. I can see down to the timestamp, and I always let you know if there is activity that is not from the emails provided during our initial conversation. This is for every gallery - children included or not.
However, I know the concern is with random individuals saving children's images and sharing them with AI to create explicit content. That in itself is illegal. But I am not here to argue my opinion of the laws passed.
I have never, and will never, post full galleries to my business page. This is to limit access to images in galleries. The images that are posted are posted at low resolution, and I am learning how to use a platform called "Glaze" that will further protect your images. Finally, I will also be adding watermarks to photos with images that have children's faces in them.
