It's been awhile! I haven't been out shooting much. My daughter asked me to go on an adventure with her and I am so glad I brought my camera. These were taken at a preserve out towards Geyserville, California. I hope you enjoy them! Please feel free to let me know which ones you like best. I was experimenting with a new lens and it was challenging to get shots with the breeze making the subjects dance. Luckily, I like dancing subjects. The light and color, even if the shot isn't tack sharp, really make these images fun for me.
If you are in the know about what each of the flowers and grasses are, please share. I was listening to our guide, but I admit I wasn't taking notes. I didn't have time since as you can see, I wasn't able to put my camera down. ;)
Side note... When I take these photos and look at them after I almost see personalities and conversations among the plants and flowers... especially the ones of the sunflowers towards the end. What do you think they are saying? I think they are having a good time, enjoying the sun.
Another side note... Parts of this area burned in 2004. It was amazing to see how nature recovers, given time. There are some images I included to show the smoke over the hills from current fires north of us.
