Just 2 years (and 1 day) we got to celebrate Lexi + Zach’s wedding and now they’re about to welcome their first baby!!!
Photography can be viewed as many different things..a hobby, career, creative outlet ect BUT to me it is summed up into 1 word.
Privilege.
It’s a privilege to capture the most important moments in my clients lives.
I never take this career for granted and when I am behind the camera I am not just taking photos as a photographer who is getting paid to be there.
I am taking the shots with intention.
When you hear me directing on how to pose it’s because I’m thinking about the picture your mom and grandmother would want to hang on their wall. I am intentionally prompting your husband to do something silly so I capture the authentic laugh he makes YOU blurt out. I’m locked in on the loving glance your husband is giving you while you’re fixing your hair.
To me, it’s not just taking a picture. To me, it’s not just the job I do to support my family.
It’s privilege.
