quick little roundup of a few favorites from 2024 senior sessions :)

fully convinced I get to work with the sweetest + kindest + coolest grads around. the space I get invited into is so special to me - full of “lasts” and nostalgia and this desire to soak up every moment before it all changes.

shooting my second wedding tomorrow - and it's still a little surreal that I get to operate in the role of wedding photographer for some truly incredible couples. maybe by wedding #25 the "pinch me" feeling will wear off (or like... maybe not ever let’s be real). either way, I think each new wedding will prompt me to revisit moments and feelings from the first wedding I shot as a lead for sarah & kier.

sarah had a vision of bringing in new creatives and giving them room to step into their gifts -- and that's only the tiniest glimpse into her character. sheesh! I'm so grateful to be on the receiving end of her trust, affirmation, & invitation. sometimes you need someone to open the door, and other times you need someone to wave you through doors that are already opening. the latter pretty closely describes what did for me 🤍

celebrating the Campbell’s day was unforgettable! and sweet as heck!!! if you ask me, march 13 will always be one of the books :)

Re-edited the images from M’kayla’s session in August, and added this B&W set. When I study these tiny black and white squares, I'm invited back to a place of rest. These images remind me of the art that can be produced when I put an emphasis on slowing down. I'm looking forward to that shift in 2021, and I'm even more expectant about the images I'll get to deliver because of it.

If you need a sign to make space for the art you enjoy outside of your normal paying clients, this is it!

(May or may not be taking my own advice and doing just that this weekend -- stay tuned 🕊)

A few details from my first branding shoot with Brianne Nickelston, the heart + soul behind . Branding sessions are a mix-up from the regularly scheduled programming on the HCP channel (aka seniors + couples), but it's one that I'm particularly passionate about!

I've always felt a pull towards supporting small businesses and telling their stories -- so much so that I came to SFA to pursue a degree in Mass Communication. It's also why I spend my 8-5's each week at a full-time marketing job that I adore, where I get to promote the City of Nacogdoches and the businesses woven throughout its story. It's sweet to know that whether I'm crafting a campaign behind a desk or shooting behind a lens, I get to support the risk-takers who believe in their dreams enough to jump ☁️

This weekend will mark one year of being in business -- you could say I'm feeling a little sentimental! I'm just honored, really, by everyone who has trusted me with the moments that matter deeply to them. I don't think I'll ever consider it as anything less than the highest regard, or get tired of the way it invites me to illustrate a bigger story.
