I just learned this iPhone photo trick and it’s so easy it hurts 📷 Don’t mind me taking iPhotos of me and my baby all day now (using voice control 👀)
No running back and forth or trying to hide my hand with the clicker in it… so much better!

Here’s how to set it up!
Set up “Take Photo” voice command on iPhone:
1. Go to Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control
2. Turn Voice Control on
3. Tap Customize Commands → Create New Command
4. In the Phrase box type: “take photo”
5. Tap Action → Run Custom Gesture
6. On the screen, tap where the shutter button would be if the camera app were open ; keep tapping on the same spot until it won’t let you anymore (about 10 times)
7. Save it
8. Open your Camera app, say your phrase — done ✨

Pro tip: Under Application, choose Camera so the command only triggers inside the Camera app — no accidental photos elsewhere!

Let me know what you think ! Or if you want me to give you a video setup demonstration.

giving them something to do changed everything.

I have thousands of photos of my kids.

And almost none of me with them.

Not because I didn’t want them…
but because I was waiting for someone else to take them.

So I started figuring it out myself.

My super simple setup:
Tripod
iPhone
Voice command — self timer (the absolute best trick ever)
Filmy timeless edit
Maybe a tight crop if I’m feeling frisky

Are you in your camera roll? Or is this just me.

Results from self portraits!

I get asked alot how to get photos with the family, especially the little ones.

I’m working on something to help moms get back in the frame, instead of always being the one behind the camera.

What questions do you have? Drop them below so I can include them in my tutorials.

I used to think I just “wasn’t in the phase” of being in photos. Or I’d wait until I felt more confident to be photographed.

Turns out—I just didn’t have a system.

I’m building something to fix this.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how mothers exist in memories… but not always in a way that feels real. and definitely not in your camera roll.

Some of my favorite moments as a photographer have been when I’m working with women — slowing things down, letting moments happen instead of forcing them.

I’m opening a few motherhood sessions centered on you.
Not perfect. Not posed. Just honest. In this chaotic season that you’re in.

Message me if you want one 🤍

A little back yard 4th 🇺🇸
Things are starting to come together. I see many more pool/patio summer nights ahead.

I might be overdoing it with the art around here but I won’t be stopped .

One year ago, we packed up our cozy beach apartment, left the family safety net, and moved to wine country—because why not add a little chaos to the dream?

I always thought living in wine country would be magical, just didn’t think it’d be *my life.

Since then, we’ve leveled up: traded thin apartment walls for an actual house, started new jobs, and casually got pregnant after a nice long wait—because apparently, we don’t do anything halfway in Napa.

Now we’re soaking up every bit of what this place has to offer—slow weekends, vineyard views, saying yes to every tasting room that calls our name. Turns out, wine country life suits us just fine.
