One thing I've learned after photographing families for nearly two decades is that getting everyone in the same photo is harder than it sounds. 😅

Between busy schedules, growing kids, sports, work, and everything else life throws at us, it's easy to keep putting it off.

Until suddenly the kids aren't so little anymore.

That's why I love these mini sessions. They're simple, relaxed, and just enough time to capture this chapter without turning it into an all-day event.

A little reminder that your dogs are part of the family too. 🐾

Some of my favorite sessions are the ones that embrace the beautiful chaos of real life. A toddler who would rather explore than pose, a baby on the way, two excited dogs, and parents trying to soak up every second of this season before everything changes.

Perfect isn't the goal.

One of the things I love most about weddings is getting to see how every couple makes the day their own.

Your wedding doesn't have to look like anyone else's to be beautiful.

The best part about these beach minis is that they don't require a big production. You don't need matching outfits, a special occasion, or a perfectly cooperative toddler.

You just show up.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about couples photos is that they have to feel formal.

They don't.

Sometimes it's as simple as taking a walk, holding hands, and spending an hour together somewhere beautiful. No pressure to perform. No pressure to be anything other than yourselves.

That's when the photos start feeling less like a photoshoot and more like a memory.

One of my favorite things about photographing kids is that they don't care about perfect. They're not worried about posing, angles, or whether they're doing it right. They're just busy being themselves.

And years from now, that's exactly what you'll want to remember.
