Before Chicago’s skyline filled the horizon, this lighthouse was already standing watch.

The Chicago Harbor Lighthouse was first lit in 1893, the same year Chicago hosted the World’s Columbian Exposition — a moment when the city was introducing itself to the world.

In 1919, it was moved to its current location near Navy Pier, quietly guiding ships into harbor for over a century. For decades, a keeper even lived inside its walls before it became automated.

When I filmed this from my drone, what struck me wasn’t just the architecture — it was the contrast.

A structure built in the 1800s. A skyline built in the 1900s and beyond.
Stillness against constant motion.

I’m always drawn to places that hold both history and energy. Whether I’m photographing an event, an interior, or a property ready for market, I’m looking for that same tension — what’s lasting and what’s unfolding.

Every space has a story. My work is about revealing it.

What a weekend! 🇮🇪⚽🍔
I had the amazing opportunity to capture 2 Pint Provisions at the Ireland vs. New Zealand soccer match tailgate at Soldier Field, my very first tailgate experience!

The energy was unreal, and the 2 Pint Provisions team was incredible to work with. They were serving up their Wagyu Guinness Burgers and marinades, crafted with the distinct essence of Guinness®, bringing a true taste of Irish pride to Chicago. Their burgers were even featured on the Soldier Field menu that day!

We spent the afternoon filming and photographing all the action, the food, the fans, and the team that made it all happen. Here’s the latest sizzle reel from that unforgettable day.

I’ve done a lot of mixed photography this past year, exploring new styles, experimenting with light, and learning to see differently.

This past June, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a workshop with Valérie Jardin, a well-known street photographer whose approach completely changed how I view everyday moments. Her insight opened my eyes to new ways of telling stories, perspectives that can be applied to any future opportunity.

I’m incredibly proud of how much Hail Mary Studio has evolved this year. We’ve grown beyond one niche, one genre, one label. HMS now embraces it all, from real estate and interiors to events, street stories, and everything in between. Because great photography isn’t about the subject, it’s about the story it tells.
