Kristen Lisa Photography Naperville Photographer - Family and Newborn Thank you so much for visiting Kristen Lisa Photography! My name is Kristen. Yep. That’s definitely me.

I love talking to you and getting to know your stories. Have you ever met a girl who wants to hear every little detail about where you grew up, why you ended up being where you are, what you do every day, where you met your husband, how you got engaged...etc. I believe that asking the right questions and getting to know people help me take better pictures of you because those pictures become you.

I love people, relationships, nature, and happiness. When I capture that, I feel Oh so good! That’s the kind of a girl/photographer I am. I am just an ordinary girl who is trying to capture your beauty and smile through the lense :) I hope that we enjoy our journey together through our session. Please come visit my site and let's get to know each other! http://kristenlisaphotography.com/

These are the days. 🤍

When the location, the outfits, and the family’s energy all come together, the result is more than just photos. It’s a feeling. The kind of images that bring you back to a season of life you never want to forget. The laughter, the little hands reaching for yours, the adventure of exploring somewhere new together. I love the early morning downtown Tokyo street family photo sessions before the city wakes up. There’s something special about wandering through the quiet streets as a family and discovering a new place together.

Family vacation photography is still a relatively new idea for many people. Finding a local photographer in a city you’re visiting can feel like a leap of faith, yet somehow families from all over the world find their way to me. I feel so lucky we create memories together in the heart of Tokyo.

Because one day, the trip will be over. The kids will be older. The details will fade. But these photos will take you right back to how it felt. If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo and would love to document your family’s adventure in a meaningful way, I’d love to chat.

The greens are deep, and even on cloudy days the colors feel rich and full. I am worried about the weather during this time of the year because it’s the rainy season, but late spring in Tokyo has become one of my favorite times to photograph families. May in Tokyo has this calm kind of beauty.

I’ve been photographing more families in their everyday neighborhoods lately and families ask to take photos at their familiar place like walking streets they already know, stopping at small corners, and just being together.

And honestly, those sessions always stay with me.
Not because anything big happens, but because nothing needs to.

For families visiting Tokyo or calling Japan home 🤍If you think you want to remember what your family looks like this year, a photo session may be a good idea!

Tokyo gives us beautiful backdrops in every season, but the photos you’ll treasure most are usually the quiet in-between moments.

A little hand reaching for yours.
A shared smile.
The way your family moves together without thinking.

Nothing forced.
Nothing complicated.

Just your family, as you are right now… if this speaks to you, I would love to take your family photos!

Mommy and me session with the Azalea (Tsutsuji) flowers at the Tokyo park. These littles outgrow our laps before we realize it and it’s so special to have these moments being captured.

The mom and daughter showed up with this outfit! Twinning and winning.

Little Moments • Tokyo Family Photo Sessions. All seasons in Tokyo are beautiful…spring blossoms, green summer mornings, autumn leaves, and crisp winter light.

But what makes a session special isn’t the season or location.
It’s your family as you are right now.

The way your child reaches for your hand.
The laughter in between poses.
The little moments you’ll want to remember years from now.

Tokyo sessions available year-round.
Family photography and videography for families visiting or living in Japan.

Downtown Tokyo Street Family Photo Session. I have been to Shibuya countless times but I see this chaotic, noisy city (I love Shibuya!) in a different way with my photo clients. I avoid crowds and find quieter spots and surprisingly, there are places. It’s fun to explore the familiar place in a different way and find ways to fit the way the family wants to capture their Tokyo experience.

Also, this family was so adorable and it was a sunshine morning!

Tsutsuji (azaleas) are one of May’s most beautiful flowers in Tokyo. The bright pink blooms and fresh green leaves make such a vibrant backdrop for a flower family session in Tokyo, especially when the morning light is soft and the park still feels calm. This session was all of that!

One of my favorite things about photographing families in Tokyo is letting the session unfold naturally. We followed this toddler’s pace…walking, exploring, stopping for little discoveries, and enjoying a quiet spring morning together. Those in-between moments are often what makes the session extra special.

Tokyo has so many beautiful seasonal spots, and it’s all year around. If you love nature, soft sunlight, and candid moments with your family, a flower family session in Tokyo might be the perfect fit!
