The first grandbaby in a family is pretty special--and so is getting to do a photo shoot for my lovely former student, now all grown up (obviously) and a new mom living her best life with her family in Texas. I was so happy to do this shoot for this incredibly sweet extended family when they were all back together in the 'burbs for baby Emma's first visit; their joy and excitement for their family's new addition were palpable, and it was just a lovely summer shoot.

Loved doing this extended family shoot for such a great group in July--the kids were amazingly cooperative and just awesome listeners, and I'm so glad I was able to capture memories for these three generations all in one place! 🙂

In June, I had the privilege of photographing an engagement, from documenting the incredible surprise the groom-to-be had set up for his fiance (making sure 20+ family and friends were integral to this special moment), capturing candids, and getting posed portraits of all the folks there--including, of course, the newly engaged (and beaming!) duo. What a joy to be present for such a big milestone with this happy couple!

I can't believe I haven't yet posted photos from a Mother's Day appreciation shoot that the wonderful Caitlin McLain Baird & Warner hosted for her clients. It was an absolute blast to meet so many nice families that have worked with Caitlin (just like we did a few years ago to sell our home--if you need a realtor, Caitlin is the BEST) all in just a short time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I hope that everyone, but especially the moms, walked away with some new pics that they can enjoy for many years to come!

Loved shooting a Mini Session for this great family at the Naperville Riverwalk--we had so many wonderful backdrops to choose from and everyone was ready to rock!

Let me know if I can book a Mini Session for you this summer or fall, as my calendar is filling up; Mini Sessions are perfect to capture plenty of great shots (at least 20 final images) but also short enough (only 20-30 minutes) to make sure the kiddos don't get overextended or worn out.

A stunning Senior Pic session...with some wonderful family shots added in! I was more than happy to take tons of individual shots of the senior-to-be (who is a TREMENDOUS human, btw) and then try to capture a few family memories as well. Everyone was a trooper as the beautiful spring evening at the Arboretum turned a little chilly, and I just LOVE how the redbuds in the background are the perfect complement to the outfits of the ladies. 🌸

Not sure if anyone knows this, but before my human babies came, I volunteered for almost two years at ADOPT Pet Shelter in Naperville and got to photograph the beautiful fur babies there.

My latest session was Senior pics for a guitar-playing future pre-med major who is way cooler than I was at any stage in my life, and his photos also turned out significantly cooler than my senior pics did in 1998.

Parental units, do you have a Senior in your life that needs a few updated pics? Maybe a few in their future college's gear? You need one with the family dog? Let me know what you'd like to do, whether traditional or far less so, and we can make it happen--just $95 for a 20-minute session that gets you at least 10-15 final edited images.
