It’s been such a full season over here and I’ve definitely been a little quiet, but I had to jump on and share this beautiful family. Seven years ago, I took a leap on a dream that scared me to death. I didn’t know if it would work. I didn’t know if anyone would choose me. I just knew I loved freezing moments that mattered.

And somehow… here we are.

This past year was my busiest year to date. More love, more laughter, more milestones, more trust than I ever imagined. Every single session, wedding, family, newborn, and quiet in-between moment reminded me why I started.

This business exists because of YOU. Because you invited me into your lives. Because you trusted me to hold your memories. Because you believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

Thank you for letting me do what I love. Thank you for supporting a dream that started with nerves, hope, and a whole lot of heart. Thank you for every referral, every kind word, every happy tear behind my lens.

As we step into a new year, I’m overflowing with gratitude and so excited for what’s ahead. I can’t wait to keep capturing the moments you’ll look back on forever.

Last week I photographed a family who showed up a little late with sand already stuck to their toddler’s toes and hair blowing in the wind. Mom laughed and said, “We are a hot mess today, I hope you can work some magic.”

That session turned out to be one of my favorites. Their little boy ran in and out of the waves, their daughter twirled in her dress until she fell giggling into the sand, and Mom and Dad couldn’t stop smiling at each other while trying to keep up with them. It was not posed or perfect in the traditional sense, but it was perfectly them.

As a photographer I will let you in on a secret. The moments you think are too chaotic, too messy, or too unplanned often become the photos you treasure the most. Years from now you will not care if someone’s hair was windblown or if outfits did not match. You will care that you can feel your kids’ personalities, their laughter, and your family’s love frozen in time.

If you have been waiting for everything to calm down, for life to feel less busy, or for your kids to suddenly sit still for an hour, this is your reminder that now is the time. Your family as you are right now is worth remembering. You will never regret having these memories, but you might regret waiting.
