Just a little PSA… being comfortable in front of the camera & feeling like yourselves in your photos comes from hiring a wedding photographer that you trust!!!

The #1 fear I hear from couples is feeling awkward in front of the camera, and receiving photos that they don’t love.

What they may not realize is that this feeling is directly linked to their photographer. If you choose someone you trust, someone who is calm, intentional, and understands you, you will feel comfortable, calm, and like yourselves. This results in photos that bring you back to the moment, and the feeling surrounding it. Photos that FEEL and LOOK like you!!

If you choose a photographer who you don’t jive with, chances are you will feel awkward in front of the camera—and that is certainly not the way you want to feel on your wedding day.

Getting ready is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day to capture. There’s nothing like the vibe of getting ready with your girls before marrying the love of your life! During getting ready, I direct as needed, but mostly step back and observe what’s about to unfold. Anticipating moments during this point of the day results in real, natural images that bring you back to how you felt in the moment 🤍
