There’s something about bringing home another baby that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.

It’s familiar… and completely new at the same time. You know what to expect in some ways. You’ve done the sleepless nights, the feedings, the slow, quiet days at home.

But everything feels different now — your older kids suddenly look bigger, heavier when they climb into your lap, older in a way you didn’t notice before, and your home feels fuller, sometimes louder, sometimes tighter.

And yet, your heart stretches in a way that makes room for all of it.

Every newborn session holds this same weight. Not because it’s your first, but because it’s this moment in your life.

This version of your family. This shift. This season.

And whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, it deserves to be remembered just the same.

Motherhood is made up of so many little seasons.

Some of them feel beautiful while you’re in them, some feel exhausting, and some feel ordinary in a way that makes you think you’ll never miss them.

The snack-making, the bedtime routines, the way they always want to be held, the toys all over the floor, the seasons that feel long, loud, messy, or mundane.

And when you’re living in it every day, it’s easy to believe these are just the little moments.

But one day, you’ll look back and realize these were the moments.

You’ll find an old photo and think, how was that so long ago? It feels like it was just yesterday.

You’ll remember the season that tried you. The season you loved. The season you couldn’t wait to be through. And somehow, you’ll miss all of them a little.

Because no matter what kind of season it was, it was still your life. Your motherhood. Your people.

And every season is worth documenting honestly.

Working with me shouldn’t be just about the photos. It’s about telling your family’s story in a way that feels honest and true to you. And to do that, I have to know your story first.

The things your kids love right now, the season you’re in, what your Saturday morning looks like, the little things you don’t want to forget.

Your photos are meant to feel like your life — not like a version of your family that only exists for the camera.

You won’t be expected to perform.

You don’t have to worry about perfect behavior or whether your kids will smile at the right time.

We will spend time doing the things you love — snuggle your babies, chase your kids, sit in the middle of the mess and the laughter and just be with them.

The best photos happen when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. That’s when your family settles in. That’s when your kids open up. That’s when the moments you’ll actually want to remember begin to unfold.

Your story, honestly remembered.

The photos you’ll love most one day probably aren’t the ones you think they will be.

Not the perfectly posed ones. Not the ones where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling.

It’s the ones that feel like your life. The way your child reaches for you. The way they fit into your arms right now.

The way this season feels —messy, full, fleeting.

It’s not about getting everything “right.” It’s about being present enough to let it be real. Because one day, that’s what you’ll want back.

This is what I mean when I say real life, honestly remembered.

If you’ve been waiting for things to feel calmer, easier, more put together… this is your reminder that this season matters too.

This past year I spent time with in The Mothers Way really praying and searching for where this business fits within motherhood. She always says you juggle a lot of balls in life, but which ones are glass and can’t break if dropped? Motherhood will always come first, but having a business alongside it is really, really special.

Being apart of your journey as a photographer is truly the most special thing. I get to watch your family grow and capture those memories in photos for you to cherish for all of your days. I get to freeze that moment. How did I get so lucky?

This beautiful family is bringing their sixth little one into the world and I don’t think there are parents more perfect to have a home full of littles running around. Baby sister is going to be protected by her five brothers for all of her days!

It is so special to photograph such a special time in the Paul family’s life, but even more special because I get to call this family my really really close friends. What a blessing this friendship has been!

Baby girl we cannot wait for you next month! 🤍🤍

How you spend your days is how you spend your years.

How often do we hear that the days are long, but the years are short? Probably more than we want to, but definitely not more than we need to.
oldest is six # so I can’t speak from an older mama’s experience of my child reflecting on their first memories, but I do know that time is coming if it’s not already here.

What will my children remember of our days together? Will they remember me being present or will the remember me not taking time to find beauty and create magic in the everyday mundane of our home? There will always be things to do, but there will also always be time to do them. It’s how we choose to spend our time that matters. Who needs the dishes put away before the kids go to bed? Who needs the dirt cleaned off their chubby little fingers before they are finished playing? Who needs to send off one more email before sitting down on the floor to engage fully? All of these little things will add up as does the time. And time is the one thing we can’t get back.

So mama, drop your phone and go play trains, go read that book they’ve been asking you to read, go run around outside with them. Spend your days how you want to look back and remember your years 🤍

I recently read “what controls our minds controls our schedule, and what controls our schedule shapes our future.” And that hit me. It shapes our future which in turn shapes our children’s futures.

Mamas — how often are you there with your children, but not actually present? While they are playing on the floor trying to engage with you, but your head is buried scrolling your phone? Scrolling because of the fear of missing out on what’s going on in everyone’s life (which of course social media is far from an accurate representation of real life). And if I’m being honest with myself, these distractions don’t fill my cup up, they just bring me farther from where I need to be — present with my children, buried in His word, connecting with my husband.

We live in a time where technology is unavoidable and no one expects us to not be on it. But it’s how we use it that matters. Our children see it and know it. Is that how I want them to know me? Always the “hold on, one more minute” mom? Lord, remind me of my priorities and what matters most in this world and that I am always going to be an example for my children 🤍

There are two types of people — those who gravitate towards photos of everyone looking at the camera and those who can’t get enough of a genuine connection in their photos.

The good news is, a session with me will absolutely have both! But we will get the smiling photo out of the way at the beginning of our time together, and the rest will be spent doing things that your family loves.

As a mama, my inspiration behind the camera comes from remembering the little details of my own littles. It’s my six year old’s passion for anything sports and how he reminds me so much of my husband and the bond they have (big sports family over here so I’m here for this!). Or the way every wild flower in our yard is brought to me by my four year old. And when I ask my baby girl for a kiss she leans in and touches her forehead to mine.

That’s what I long to capture for you in your photos —the little details that mean the most to you, mama. What is it about your littles that you want to remember?

What types of images pull at your heartstrings?

A. an image that shows connection?
B. an image that captures tender moments of mama and her littles?
C. an image that is full of joy?
D. an image that captures real-life moments?

If all of the above are images that your heart desires, I can promise that you will be in the best of hands with me as your photographer. All of those images are ones that I long for as a mama and with my own littles being my greatest source of inspiration when I’m behind the camera, it’s exactly what you can expect from me.
