So I met at Wana Create Nashville, a meetup spot for creators. At the beginning, most creatives just mingle, introduce themselves, and talk about what they do. Then we usually have 3 to 4 speakers present their work. Cece never presented, but she was always involved, helping people with ideas, opinions, and questions.
At one point, everyone was going around introducing themselves, and when it got to Cece, she said she was doing music. I told her straight up, you gotta send me your music.
On the drive home, I pressed play… and instantly ran “end it” on repeat. The whole ride home I was locked in, volume up, stank face the entire time.
By the time I got home, I already had ideas running through my head. Then I tapped into “greener” and “apple of my eye,” and it just confirmed it… we needed to collaborate ASAP.
The next day I reached out and said let’s grab coffee. We sat down, talked through everything, where she’s at, where she’s trying to go, and I just knew this was something I wanted to be part of. We got straight into creating. The first shoot had a little bit of nerves, but after a few takes it opened up and felt natural, like we’d been working together for years.
What makes it even crazier is Cece is balancing real life with all of this, working multiple jobs and still finding time to chase music. That kind of drive is different, and you can hear it in every track.
Now it’s all leading up to this Tuesday, where Cece is performing the full album tired front to back. 10 songs, start to finish, no shortcuts.
If you want to be there for the beginning of something special, the link is in the bio to RSVP your spot at the album release party this Tuesday at East Side Supper Club.
