It feels so good to be back in our boat consistently again. The Ocoee River is such a treasure, do you recognize any of these places? We are really focusing on a few areas as we move in to hopefully some beautiful fall colors at some point… 🤷🏼‍♂️

1. Mystery move spot below Moon Chute, moving towards Double Suck

2. Power House Rapid

3. Gonzo Shoals

4. Dropping in to Double Suck

5. What do you guys call this spot below Diamond Splitter?

6. Is there a name for this move coming out of Moon Chute?

I tend to agree with Ratty, the take out may be the end of the section of river I’m paddling, but it’s not the destination. There’s no pressure to be at the take out. Keep those boats pointed upstream y’all.

Fun times at Broken Nose, I’m always down to photograph the carnage but I am so glad this one wasn’t any worse… look how close the kayakers head was to the raft! Kudo’s to the raft guide, they were trying to avoid the kayaker stuck in the bottom ledge.
