A lot of modern wedding culture feels incredibly performative to me. There’s so much pressure to make everything look perfect, optimize every detail, and turn an emotional experience into content. And honestly? I think that pressure can pull people out of their own lives.
The couples and weddings I connect with most are usually the ones rooted in presence, connection, emotional honesty, and humanity. The quieter moments. The weird moments. The deeply personal moments. The moments that actually feel like the people living them.
This blog is really about that.
About why I care more about atmosphere and emotional truth than perfection.
About why I’m drawn to intimate weddings and elopements.
About creating photographs that still feel alive years later.
If that resonates with you at all- this post is for you!
A Nashville wedding photographer sharing an inclusive, emotionally honest approach to intimate weddings and elopements for couples who want to be fully present on their wedding day.
