I have been chatting with Maddie + David for several months now and was excited to meet them in person for their engagement photos they flew in for.

A few days prior to the session, we had lost our dog unexpectedly and are still feeling the heartache. I knew getting out and taking photos with one of my couples would be good for me. For those couple hours I felt joy I desperately needed. I got to “go to my happy place” by photographing people in the midst of such an exciting time.

Thank you Maddie and David for not only trusting me to document this time and your upcoming wedding, but for bringing joy into my life right when I needed it.

I was able to take a little break with my kids after my early-summer weddings, but I am beyond ready for one of my busiest falls yet to start next weekend! This cooler(ish) weather always reminds me that this crazy, beautiful, full season is about to begin, and I love it.
