Last week, I had the opportunity to go with the youth group as a chaperone on a summer retreat to Nashville. Since we got home, I’ve struggled to find just the right words to say to show everyone how amazing this group of kids are. They were excited to serve others. A group of teenagers in 2019 who are labeled lazy and inconsiderate chose to give up a week of their time to work in a food bank, paint flower pots to give to the elderly in our congregation, planned our church’s VBS, and learned how important it is to make the first step to help others in need. I’m so thankful to be a small part of something so much bigger than ourselves.

Here are some pictures from the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens from this past weekend! Check out more photos on my main account! It was such a great blessing to finally go home for a few days and get to take photos for things I wanted to do rather than out of necessity.

Working with the glare on the glass for some exhibits was the tricky part, but I think it turned out great! Be sure to let me know which photos you like best!
