This woman, and so many like her that have come in my studio either before or after treatment and surgery, embodies that strength. She’s fought, she’s endured, and she’s still here, embracing her body and her journey with courage. A double mastectomy doesn’t take away beauty—it reveals a new kind of power.

To every survivor, fighter, and thriver: you are seen, you are loved, and your story matters.

As a child of the 80s and 90s, it took me a long time to realize that we were truly *taught* to hate our bodies. This is your reminder that you’ll never hate your body into loving it. The only way to loving your body is choosing to do it today and again tomorrow. 🖤

Years ago, I was talking to a friend, and she said the phrase “Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it.”

I don’t even remember the topic we were discussing at the time, but I’ve thought of that phrase again and again. When I’m looking for negativity, I find it. When I’m looking for grace, I find it. Where my energy goes, my intentions follow.

What if you surrounded yourself with people who loved and celebrated you just as you are? What could that unlock? Would it change anything? Or would it change everything?

Stephanie came to me earlier this year as she began processing the cancer diagnosis and treatment she experienced two years ago. Life’s difficult moments are what shapes us, and Stephanie chose to not have reconstructive surgery and kept her short hair.

As the anniversary of her mastectomy approached, she wanted to take a sad day and turn it into a happy one with a bo***ir session that celebrated not only the strength that she obviously knows she has in abundance, but also to remind her that she’s always feminine and beautiful. 🖤
