But that’s the thing that I appreciate the most about these two. We get to grow together, cheer each other on and support each other’s dreams. Henry and Kascha were the first couple who trusted me to photograph their wedding solo and for them to trust me to document every season of their life is both humbling and an honor.

Henry and Kascha’s love story began in Athens, GA more than a decade ago. And anyone who went to UGA during that time will tell you that these to a BUGA royalty. 👸🏽🤴🏿 So naturally, when it came time to photograph the new , shooting anywhere else other than the Classic City simply wasn’t an option. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Anyone who knows them knows why it’s so easy to love them. They have the purest hearts and I just can’t wait to see them in action as parents! Baby Savannah, you are one blessed girl to have these two as your mommy and daddy. We can’t wait to meet you!😍

First came their engagement session. Then came their Nigerian wedding. Then came their Catholic wedding. Now, it’s all about THEIR FIRST BABY!!

To photograph Kascha during this season...in all of her radiant glory as she and Henry prepare to join the parenthood club is both exciting and a true honor. Capturing their story, chapter after chapter has been such an adventure and I can’t wait to meet their new bundle of joy.💗

I have to admit, I was a little nervous about capturing their wedding day. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do them justice. But as soon as I saw them, I just knew...this day was going to be amazing. Working with these two have been such a gift. Their hearts are so pure and their love is so inspiring! They seriously made the day so easy and SUUUUUUPPPPERRRR FUN! And you know what?! We’re still here and the party is still going!

Capturing their beautiful reminded me of my own and just how JOYFUL it was! I love these two sooooooooo much and will love them forever! And their family and friends?!? Omg...perfection!

So many times, we pour into everyone else, but you can’t fill others up if your tank is running on empty. It’s so important to put your oxygen mask on first and speak into yourself. By taking care of your spirit, you give yourself room to bless others. What ways do you speak life over and encourage yourself? 💙

So many times I feel like giving up. At times, it feels like I’ve reached my glass ceiling and I have no more left to give. And just when I feel like I can’t take it anymore and try to throw in the towel, God takes my towel and throws it right back to me. 😒😒

And I’m like “God!! WHHHHYYYYYYY??!?😩😩”

I’ve been reading James 1 almost daily and I love what it says about challenges. It says we should consider it a gift when challenges come at us from all sides because under pressure, our faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors.

As God has been showing me what my faith life is really like, I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster. While I thought my foundation was rock solid, the truth is, I had some cracks that needed to be tended to if I am ever going to get where God needs me to be.

That’s why it goes on to say not to try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so I can become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.

Sometimes it’s easier to walk away. It’s easier give up and throw in the towel because what you’re dealing with is just TOO DARN HARD. And sometimes, if we’re honest, we don’t REALLY want to throw in the towel, but we don’t know what else to do.

Can I make suggestion? If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought.

Houses are boarded. The tide is high. Gas tanks are full and pantries are stocked. Everyone here on the gulf coast is as ready for as they can be. If you’ve been through a hurricane, what are some tips you have for a first-timer? Because...we did NOT have these problems in Alaska. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Spending tonight with The Nayyars was nothing short of amazing. The wisdom they shared with me was SO real. Their joy was infectious and their love?? Man...their love was...IS the stuff dreams are MADE of. ❤️

I know, I know, I know...I’m hardly the only photographer out here. Nevertheless, with all the crazy-talented creatives out here soaking up their piece of the sunshine. I do believe I am different.

For 3 years, I photographed couples who looked like me: young, wild and carefree. And while I enjoyed it (and still do), it wasn’t until around year 4, that clarity started to come and my heart longed for more. And it started with my own mother. You see, she didn’t have any real good photos of herself. So for her 50th birthday, we got her a nice dress, did her hair and makeup and I created those images for her. And can I tell you something? I fell in love with seeing her joy and seeing her not just as my mom, but as a friend. Now, every year for her birthday, we take photos, creating this beautiful catalogue of images that will be passed down throughout our family for years to come. And so with that new-found passion, I did it.

I started photographing the women and couples who didn’t look like me...but represented what I wanted to become: wise, strong because of the lessons life has taught them, unapologetically true to who they are because they know EXACTLY who they are, confident and joyful because they’re enjoying the fruits of their labor. I began photographing women and couples over the age of 40...people like your parents and grandparents because their stories and spirits deserve to be captured and preserved for the generations of wives, mothers, husbands, fathers and go-getters coming after them. Their stories mean something. THEY mean something.

So 2 years and dozens of clients from Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between later, I’m standing in the light and telling the greatest stories I’ve ever heard. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love photographing you, but your parents?! Your grandparents? Oh honey....They. Are. My. Jam.

Anyone else feel like September lasted only 5 minutes? Seriously y'all... we JUST celebrated Labor Day.

But with October comes so much: Preparing for my and 's birthdays and anniversary, fall fashion and bundled-up evening walks along the beach.

I’ve been using Facebook for a while, but I’d love to give you more insight into me and my business. I’m passionate about photography and the art of visual storytelling because it allows me to tell extraordinary stories about ordinary people. Through this medium, I get to capture the souls and spirits of so many phenomenal women and couples as I soak up their wisdom on marriage, motherhood, the art of balance and other incredible life lessons. To share what I've learned from them and from my own life with you fills my heart to the brim with joy because it reminds me just how connected we all really are.

Photography aside, I love this time of the year because I can indulge in more College Football (Gooooooo Georgia Bulldogs!) and officially start my countdown to Christmas, but tell me I’m not alone. What are your favorite cozy indulgences this time of year?

I mean...when your parents are THIS gorgeous, it's only natural that you look like a Baby Gap model right?!?

I had the SWEETEST time with Kyle, Claire, and their ADORABLE baby Dawson! Choosing sneak peaks from our time together was SUPER hard, but I could seriously look at them all day long, so I'm not complaining ONE bit! Putting together thier blog post is going to be SO much fun!
