Hey friends! ❤️

What a whirlwind the past few days have been. I wanted to pop on here with a little hurricane update for those of you who aren’t friends with me or following along on my personal page.

We’re all safe, and I’m so thankful for that. Our house did take on some damage. A huge tree fell, damaging the roof and causing the bedroom ceiling to cave in and flood. Our garage flooded with about three feet of water, too, so we have a lot to clean up and figure out. It’s been a lot, but we’re taking it one day at a time. There’s still so much goodness in the middle of all this mess, and we’re incredibly thankful. It could have been so much worse!

I also want you to know that all of my camera gear is safe and undamaged, and your photos are safe, too. I’m going to be a little behind on gallery deliveries while we deal with the mess at home, so I really appreciate your patience and understanding. ❤️

Since our town isn’t fully up and running yet, I’m losing a good amount of work this week and have some extra expenses ahead. So I’m offering a special session that I hope will be a win for both of us!

Folks, we've got us a hurricane and it's headed towards the Gulf Coast! 🌪️

Schools are out today and tomorrow, and this week has been a little stressful as I’ve made a mad dash to readjust sessions. A big thank you to my clients for being so flexible. Especially those vacationing here whose trips haven’t gone quite as hoped. I appreciate you!

We’re staying and making final preparations at home today. I am hoping for a good night’s sleep tonight, because I have a feeling I’ll be up for about 24 hours after that. Why do these storms always seem to happen overnight?! 😅

We’re taking the storm seriously, but let’s be honest: locals know there’s a little hurricane party excitement in the mix, too! 🍿

BUS MINI FAMILIES: Because of the storm, I’ll be rescheduling the Bus Minis planned for Saturday, October 10. I’ll reach out to each family individually once I’ve finalized a new date.

I’ve seen several posts recently from people who paid local photographers for a session only to never receive their gallery and upon reaching out, they are completely ghosted.

UGH, it breaks my heart for them.

I understand why booking a photographer you’ve never met can feel like a leap of faith. You’re trusting someone with your money, your time, and moments that may never happen exactly the same way again. And it is not lost on me that professional photography is an investment for most families.

When you book with me, I want you to feel confident that I am going to show up, communicate with you, photograph your family with care, and deliver what I promised. I’ve spent years building Jennifer Vaughn Photography into a business rooted in honesty, integrity, and genuinely caring about the people who trust me with their memories.

There’s nothing better than Momma’s kisses. 🤍

Every time I photograph a family with a baby boy, I’m taken right back to when my own boys were little. Man, the time has gone by so quickly. What I wouldn’t give to kiss those chubby little cheeks and snuggle them just one more time!

Mommas, slow down and soak it all in! The kisses, the snuggles, and even the long days. These moments really will be gone in the blink of an eye. 🤍

Yes, I am doing these a little later than the usual back to school rush and honestly, that might be even better! School routines have settled down, the first week chaos is behind us, and maybe Florida will turn the temperature down just a tiny bit. 😂

You guys, summer gets all the attention, but fall is when the Gulf Coast really is her best. 😍

The water is usually crystal clear, the sunsets are perfection, and it’s finally cool enough that we aren’t all melting before the first picture is taken. 😂
