There's something special about holding a printed magazine in your hands.

This weekend I received my copy of MIROITÉR Magazine from Australia, featuring our "Chasing Light Between the Corn Rows" editorial with Alyssa Owens.

What made this publication stand out wasn't just seeing the photographs—it was seeing the story behind the shoot published alongside them. Every photoshoot has a story, and it's rewarding when a magazine chooses to share that with its readers.

We were also selected as an Editorial Highlight, which made this issue even more memorable.

🎆 Fireworks over a baseball field... it just feels like summer.

For the second year, I made the drive to photograph the Boling Volunteer Fire Department's Independence Day fireworks show, and once again they put on an incredible display.

I set up in the outfield because the silhouette of the bleachers always reminds me of The Sandlot. Add a dark Texas sky, a tripod, a little patience, and a black mist filter, and it all came together to create some of my favorite firework images of the year.
