Today's Adventure... Catching up on my Victorian Print stack. This is a 12x15inch cyanotype of Hannah Mauritz and some new Paddington friends. Biggest cyanotype I've done to date and I will be doing some bigger prints when I finish my 18x22inch printing frame!

Through the viewfinder, what the tintype photographer sees. The hardest part is up is down and left is right so you have to move the camera opposite of what you see. From yesterday's Spirit Tintype session with Dreamera Marie Tintypes will be scanned and varnished tomorrow and I will post.

Finished a most excellent photo session and had time to go west of Neenah to catch a few photos of the comet. Glad we got to see it as I don't think I'll be around in 80,000 years when it comes back!

PS The bright light at the bottom is a combine out harvesting under the full moon! Kind of romantic...

Hannah Mauritz in some digital shots from last Saturday's Retzer Steampunk/Goth event. I pulled out the digital camera when the light got too low for wet plate collodion and did a few sets with someo f the awesome people there. The amazing and versitile Hannah has a little fun in the woods with my Crystal ball. I'm thinking she saw a busy but rewarding week ahead for me...😁 More pictures coming this week!

Technical Notes: Canon R5 camera, Canon 135mm f/1.8 RL lens, AD600 flash with softbox and a little spray fog!

Another pic of the aurora over Lake Poygan. Taken with my Canon R5 and 15-35mm f/2.8 lens. 15mm is super wide but last night I wished I had an even wider lens... alas, no money in the budget! I especially love the reflection in the water and luckily the lake was like glass last night.

Sunset at the Steampunk photo shoot. The light faeds so Tintypes are finished for the day. So I pulled out my digital camera for some early evening photos. Steampunk/Goth Photo Event on Saturday, October 5! I will be at the Goth/Steampunk TFP At Retzer Nature Center 2024 doing FREE tintype portraits from 2:00 until 6:00 (or it gets too dark). They still have room for a few more models so click the link and join me there for a great afternoon of photos!
