They call him Dr. Music Man with Ten Thousand Hats.

Okay, nobody calls him that.

Cool nickname, though. Yes? No? Okay. Moving on.

From monochromatic day at school to their personalized snacks ;-), Parker and Co. showed up to party. Then the siblings took their leave and mom, Parker and I took to the streets around Minneapolis; listening to the soft strumming of a guitar and laughing about the 10,000 hats in tow.

My seniors are just the best seniors, wouldn't you agree? Yes? Yes. Moving on.

Continuing on with our Class of 2026 :: Keegen!!!

I've been hanging out photographing this little guy since he was all chubby cheeks and big brown peepers...now it seems like he's not so little, but he's still got those beautiful eyes and is now GRADUATED!! Whoop!!

Ooooohhhhh...how I adore my Shibui Senior Class of 2026!!! Each session was filled with summery goodness, big smiles, all the props and ideas and all things YES!!!

Over the years, I've had the luck to have these gorgeous state and county park backdrops pretty much right in my backyard. Whenever a client requests to go to a location I've previously photographed before, it becomes a fun personal challenge to somehow see it in a different way to make each session as unique as possible.

When Shelby requested Big Woods State Park {a little over a mile from my studio :: heck YES!!}, I knew we would have a stellar morning. It was hot and muggy and ish outside, but she brought the beaming smile, sweet vibes, great ideas and we ended up shooting foreverrrrrrr...because that's sometimes what happens when a great plan comes together.

I'm often asked how long a session will last and how many images will the client get to see in the end and the truth is...I have no idea. ;-)

If we're jiving, I'm shooting, you're laughing and we're all having a great time. Maybe we get what we want in 30 minutes and maybe it takes longer. Maybe you'll even opt to add on another session, just for some extra looks and location differences. And maybe we'll have a blast. Again. Like we always do.

I've been photographing Emma since she was...four? I think? And she brings a beaming smile, interesting stories and that luscious hair with her every gosh darn single time.

And now she's freshly graduated from high school and the world is her oyster. Cannot *wait* to see where she takes herself. Congrats, girl!!!!

When your niece asks about getting some portraits taken with her first horses...whelp, let's just say that time was not wasted. ;-) A gorgeous fall evening, a knockout of a teenager, some pretty ponies all together wrapped up in a few fun frames.
