Big things happening lately over here at the Graceful Roots Photography studio!! The spoiler is that the studio is changing hands, and I have a great new-to-the-area photographer to introduce you to! Keep reading for all the details…

As many of you know, I have taken a step back from the photography business lately. While I had pre-school age kids, God provided me with a business that allowed me the flexibility and the fulfillment I needed during that season. He blessed me with all of you!! Clients that became friends, business and relationships that grew together. Then when my youngest started kindergarten in 2020, I started feeling like I was supposed to do something different… but I wasn’t sure what. That’s when I came across an opportunity at Belles Boutique in early 2021! I felt God pulling me there, and I jumped at the chance to work with Beth and the Belles team.

I coordinated working both businesses for several months, not ready to make any big changes… and then I got sick in the summer. Having Covid (and getting as sick as I did) helped me to reach a place of peace in letting go and moving forward. After a lot of prayer, I made the very hard and emotional decision to close the studio and limit my session schedule.

Then I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Lesley, a photographer from the Springfield area who has owned her photography business for 11 years. She just moved with her family to Nevada over this last summer, and we connected about family photos, moving to Nevada from larger cities, owning photography businesses and more! I feel like God placed Lesley in my life at the perfect time for us to be a blessing to each other. I was sad about closing the studio, and she was interested in opening one!

Lesley has decided to take a leap of faith and take over the studio space! I’m so thrilled that it will continue to live on with her as the i4detail Photography studio! This transition has given me so much peace about phasing out of my business and so much excitement about what the future holds for Lesley and her business!

All of my clients - please go like Lesley’s business page i4detail Photography to keep up-to-date on her specials and events. I will not be running any Fall Family or Christmas minis, but I know she’s got super cute plans for both, so reach out to her if you’re needing to book!
