As a wedding photographer, I thought I knew exactly what to expect walking into my wedding day… but being on the other side of the camera changed everything. It reminded me just how meaningful and sacred this day truly is 🤍

LB’s Wedding Tips:
• you get to decide what your day looks like. it does not have to be traditional, it just has to feel like you
• you create the magic through what you choose to plan, prioritize, and pour your heart into
• it can be as meaningful as you want it to be (ceremony, decorations, etc.) — I chose my ceremony to be the most meaningful part
• you do not have to include anything that brings you sadness. protect your peace and your joy
• it’s okay to say no. this day is not about pleasing everyone else
• things may not go exactly as planned, and that is okay. there is beauty in the unexpected
• plan lunch/snacks for you, your wedding party, and vendors (no one works as good on an empty stomach) — it truly makes a difference
• soak it all in… it flies by faster than you could ever imagine
• never leave your partner’s side (this day is about you two, no one else) — stay present together
• have a discussion about alcohol beforehand (you do not want to have regrets from drinking too much) — set expectations early
• tell your vendors when alcohol can be served (it does not have to be before the reception) — clear direction helps everything run smoothly

At the end of the day, it’s not about perfection. it’s about the covenant you’re making. keep the Lord at the center, and everything else will fall into place. Enjoy my precious details!
