‘Til Death

Marion and Evan’s wedding day was beyond breathtaking. The love that surrounds this couple is so sweet. They have a beautiful support system that can attest to the love these two have shared over the last nearly eight years. We celebrated their love with private vows followed by a ceremony beneath the stars. I’m more than grateful to have been given the opportunity to photograph their day.

There’s something whimsical about seeing Christmas through a child’s eyes. As we grow older, we start to lose the spirit of Christmas. Santa becomes a thing of the past. Elves are just make believe people that we have to keep moving around the house while the kids are asleep. And reindeer? Obviously, they can’t fly. How crazy would that be?

But what if…what if we still believed? What if we saw Christmas with childlike wonder again? We’d see how beautiful the holiday season truly is. Whether you believe in a big man dressed in red or not, believe in the magic and wonder of Christmas. I’ll continue to set out cookies and milk and sprinkle reindeer food in the yard on Christmas Eve. My kids will forever get gifts from Santa because there’s something so sweet about that extra surprise under the tree. In all the chaos and stress that the holidays can bring, try to look for the magic.

Strength. Grit. Determination. Perseverance. All the words of admiration for this woman.

I met Hillary in the thick of 2020, and she instantly became one of my people. I have watched her grow so much over the last few years in so many ways. We don’t get to see each other as often as we used to, but every time we’re together, it’s like we haven’t missed a beat. Her mental toughness is unmatched, and I’m not surprised that she excelled in bodybuilding and prep. There is a whole village behind her that is more than proud. However, the pride she has found in herself is well-deserved and did not come easy.

Hillary, you earned this. Soak it up. Be proud of yourself.

You’d never know we were surrounded by hundreds of people for this lake side session. The sun kissed this mama’s skin and enhanced her pregnancy glow. Philesha and Zack made my vision for this session come to life. I reached out to them because I needed a model to announce one of my newest client gowns, and they graciously made it happen.

I couldn’t be happier with how these images turned out and the lasting relationship I made with two amazing humans. I can’t wait for the newest addition to their family to make his appearance.

The human body is an exquisite machine. I’ve always been inspired by the mental toughness of a bodybuilding competitor. Yes, the physical is amazing, but you have to conquer the mental battle before your body can become what it does for the stage.

Steven has worked diligently over the last months to prepare for his first bodybuilding competition, and I’m so grateful to have been able to photograph this amazing feat.

Sometimes the sweetest family sessions take place mon the playground. I always tell my clients to let me keep their kids happy, and I PROMISE to provide them with beautiful memories.

I’ve started leaning more towards documentary style photos, and I adore this vibe for family sessions. I want the feeling behind my images to be more “day in the life” rather than stiff and posed.
