When I made the decision to close my studio, one of the biggest questions in my mind was what newborn sessions would look like moving forward.

Well… I think I found my answer.

My first in-home lifestyle newborn session is officially in the books, and I am absolutely in love with the way this gallery came together.

There is something so special about photographing a brand new baby right where their story is beginning. In their parents’ arms. Snuggled up with their siblings. In the rooms they’ll grow up in. No rushing out the door with a newborn, no packing half the house, no trying to make life look perfectly polished.

Just your family. Your home. Your baby. Exactly as this season feels.

Closing my studio felt like the end of such a huge chapter after so many years, but I’m realizing more and more that it wasn’t the end of newborn photography for me. It was just an opportunity to photograph it differently.

And if THIS is what the next chapter looks like… I’m pretty excited about it. 🥹🤍

If these walls could talk. 🤍

There are a million things I could say about closing my studio, but I think this might be the part that gets me the most.

My two best friends have been here since the beginning. Before so much of the life we have now even existed. And somewhere along the way, while we were busy growing up ourselves, getting married, having babies, building careers and figuring out life… our kids grew up here too.

They’ve been carried into this studio as babies. Crawled across these floors. Had birthdays documented here. Lost teeth here. Made messes here. Sat through sessions they didn’t want to sit through 😂 and probably heard “just ONE more picture” more times than they could ever count.

Some of them weren’t even born when this chapter started.

And now I look at them.

These little people with these BIG personalities, friendships of their own, and so many memories woven into a place that was such a huge part of all of our lives.

Before I closed the doors, I knew I needed one last set of pictures of them here. Nothing fancy. White shirts, jeans, bare feet and exactly who they are right now.

The missing teeth. The peace signs. The attitude. The silliness. The tiny pigtails. All of it. 🥹

I’ve photographed thousands of memories inside these walls, but somehow these feel different.

Because when I look at these pictures, I don’t just see how much they’ve grown.

I see how much we’ve grown too.

The studio may be empty now, but it was never really about the stuff inside of it anyway. It was about the life that happened here.

And there was so, so much life here. 🤍

This one feels a little extra bittersweet. 🤍

This week I photographed my very last newborn session inside the studio. 🥹

After more than a decade of photographing tiny babies in this space, it’s definitely strange knowing this chapter is officially coming to an end. I’ve wrapped, rocked, shushed and photographed SO many brand-new little humans here, and I’m incredibly grateful for every family who trusted me with those first memories.

But this is not goodbye to newborn photography! 🤍

Moving forward, I’ll still be photographing newborns, just a little differently.

✨ Lifestyle Newborn Sessions will take place in the comfort of your own home. These will be relaxed, natural sessions focused on your baby, your family, all those tiny details and what life looks like during those first few weeks together.

✨ Posed Newborn Sessions will still be available indoors with the sweet, sleepy, wrapped and posed images you know and love from me.

So while the studio chapter is closing, I’m definitely not done snuggling babies behind my camera. 🥹🤍

And I couldn’t think of a sweeter little face to officially close this chapter with. Look at this BABY. 😭

Well… it’s official. 🥹

The studio is CLOSED.

After more than 10 years of photographing babies, families, seniors and so many incredible milestones inside those four walls, I’m officially saying goodbye to a really big era of Graceful Wishes Photography.

And listen… that feels WEIRD. 😂😭

But closing the studio does NOT mean I’m done photographing.

Actually… quite the opposite.

I’m taking everything I’ve learned over the last decade, getting out of those four walls and figuring out what I want this next era of Graceful Wishes to look like.

And FIRST THINGS FIRST…

Last year I photographed way more seniors than I ever expected, and I realized something:

ONE SESSION ISN’T ALWAYS ENOUGH.

There are too many outfits. Too many ideas. Sports. Band. Cheer. Fall pictures. College announcements. Cap & gown. Spring pictures.

Trying to shove an ENTIRE senior year into one photoshoot is criminal. 😂

So we’re not doing that anymore.

Instead of one giant session, we’re spreading the fun throughout your senior year.

📸 TWO 30-minute Senior Mini Sessions
👗 1–2 outfits per session
✨ 7–10 fully edited images from EACH session

Do one in the fall and one in the spring.

Do senior portraits now and cap & gown later.

Do sports for one and bring me the cute outfits for the other.

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet over here lately. Life has been busy, and I’ve been taking some time to figure out what this next chapter looks like. ❤️

I may have been a little quieter online, but I’ve still been behind the camera capturing some sweet memories, like this adorable 4th of July session. 🇺🇸✨

After 10+ years, I’ve made the decision to close my studio.

Not because I don’t love photography. I always will.

But the rising rent, the overhead during slow months, and the constant pressure just isn’t how I want to live anymore.

July will be my last full month in the studio, so I’ll be running specials all month long before I officially close these doors.

Does this mean I’m done with photography?

Absolutely not.
It just means I’m evolving.

I’ll be doing more in-home newborn sessions, shooting outdoors, and creating a business that works around my life instead of my life revolving around my business.

My girls are getting older. Their schedules are getting crazier. I want to be there. I want to cook dinner. I want to have flexibility. And honestly…I want my evenings back.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed I’ve jumped headfirst into the cheer bow world with my best friend. What started as a fun side hustle has quickly turned into something we’re incredibly excited about, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
And then there’s fitness.

Somewhere along the way, the gym stopped being a place to lose weight and became my happy place.

It’s where I’ve found confidence, discipline, friendships, and a version of myself I didn’t know existed. I love sharing my workouts, documenting my progress, and hopefully reminding someone else that it’s never too late to start.

For the last 15 years, photography has been my identity.

Now it’s time to make room for something new.
Photography will always be part of me, but I’m ready to chase this next chapter with everything I’ve got.

Here’s to less stress.�More family.�More growth.�More bows.�More barbells.�More me.

Watching these babies grow up is the wildest thing because one minute they’re running around being goofy little kids at the ballpark… and the next minute they’re in a cap & gown taking SENIOR pictures like they own the world. 🥹🎓

I’ve had the honor of watching this handsome young man grow up over the last 8 years, and getting to capture this season of life for him honestly feels so special to me. I’m so proud of the young man he’s becoming and so thankful his family trusted me with such a huge milestone.

These sessions always hit me right in the mom heart because time really does move like a thief in the night. One blink and suddenly they’re driving, graduating, and standing in golden hour looking like they belong in a coming-of-age movie soundtrack. ✨

Congrats, Kaden. Your future is so bright it basically lit the whole parking garage. ☀️

The flaky skin. The sleepy stretches. The way they curl up like they still don’t realize they’ve made it earthside yet 🤍

Newborn sessions feel like hitting pause on a season that moves way too fast. No pressure. No forced smiles. Just documenting your baby exactly as they are in their very first chapter.

And honestly? That chapter is pure magic. ✨

Tiny toes. Sleepy yawns. The way they fit perfectly in your arms for just a little while. 🥹🤍

Newborn sessions will forever be one of my favorite things to photograph because these moments pass in the blink of an eye. One minute they’re curled up in little wraps and baskets… and the next they’re running your entire household like a tiny exhausted CEO. 😅

If you’re expecting or recently welcomed your sweet baby, now is the perfect time to get your newborn session booked! I recommend scheduling while pregnant so I can reserve your due date on my calendar. Sessions are best done within 4–14 days after baby arrives for those sleepy, squishy poses everyone loves. ☁️
