I've been slacking on all my picture taking duties (taking, editing, and posting) but this is another one I snagged at Moraine State Park a few weeks ago. Renee and I went up for me to fly my drone, with the hope of getting a nice sunset shot as well. I have gone to this spot 4 different times trying to get a shot I liked and at best I got shots I thought were ok. In almost a symbolic way, the first few times I went, I got pictures of the concrete part of this dock, another time I got shots of the extension piece when it was sitting on land, this time, they were put together and this was the time I got I think 3 different shots of this dock that I was very happy with. This is just the first one I finished and might be my favorite, but I'll know for sure once I finish the other however many. Posting this also finally breaks my bird photo posting streak which is probably a a good thing so my page doesn't look like I'm a bird watcher or something.

I got another bird picture here to post. I have a pretty large catalogue building up here and it just keeps growing.

I'm keeping my bird streak alive (told you there would be a lot of them.) I got home from work and had all kinds of birds flying around outside. The cold rainy day didn't keep them away so I didn't let it keep me away either. I got quite a few of this little guy here a few others that'll be posted another time.

So almost a week ago, I went back to Moraine State Park on a sort of crummy day in hopes of getting a few super long exposure shots at some of the docks and different things that are there. Well that plan was shot down once I set up and realized that both the clouds and water were basically sitting still, so even if I allowed the camera to expose for 3 1/2 minutes, there was very little movement and didn't have the effect that you get from doing super long exposures. So instead, I just started to try to hunt down nice black and white shots and stumbled upon this dock.

There was no one around but I still decided to follow the signs instructions about not walking on the docks, so I walked as close as I could without being on the docks themselves and took a few looking down the dock. If I was able to do a really long exposure on this one, I think it would've been a lot nicer but, I'm not upset with this result either.

So this is honestly a pretty old picture at this point. I got this one when my Mom, my girlfriend, and myself were in Niagra Falls in July. We were walking back from this little aquarium that was by the falls and the path you have to walk on consists of a bridge that goes over the highway. I was thinking about taking a picture when we were walking to the aquarium, but I was looking on the other side of the bridge and it didn't look great. So on the way back, I noticed no cars were coming and just quickly took a few looking the opposite direction. I really couldn't decide between black and white or color for this one, because the colors on it were really nice too, but, ultimately, I decided that it was a stronger black and white shot than a color shot.

Then, in the last few days, I stumbled upon this shot again and decided to spice it up some more with things I've learned editing wise since the initial edit of this picture.

Now that the weather is starting to become pleasant to be outside in, I think the frequency of my posts is about to go way up.
