After 14 years of having the most rewarding job I could ever hope for, Nikki Martin Photography is officially closing. I’ve been spending the past six months thinking long and hard about this decision. This business of mine has always been a much needed creative outlet for me when my children were young as a stay at home mom but as my kiddos have grown I've realized how quickly time has flown and want to be present as much as I can.

Another consideration was that my studio sessions have always been in my home. As much as I loved my time with my clients in this space it was difficult to keep home life and business separate. Finding a commercial space was considered but has not been successful so that pushed me even more to make this tough decision.  

I am so thankful for every person that has supported my business all these years whether you've had a session with me or you just were a follower liking my pictures. Don’t think for one second that I won’t miss photographing your little ones because I absolutely will.  This truly hurts my heart and would love to hear from you even if it’s to just say hello!

I’m not 100% sure what the future holds so maybe I’ll be back, maybe I won’t but I will keep my social media open so you can be the first to know of any changes.

Hello Friends! I know I have been quiet on my page, there has been a lot going on. My sister has been diagnosed with an aggressive CANCER- UPS Sarcoma. She is one of the most important people in my life. She is my bestest friend in the whole world. It is rare I share anything personal on my business page but if there's anytime to share with others this is it. And quite frankly I consider this is just sharing with friends, I consider my clients my friends.

She needs our love, support and help easing the financial burden this presents. If you would love to help I would be forever grateful.

Beachin it with these beautiful people. It's a wonderful thing when you meet a family and you just completely connect from the moment you meet and then at the end of the evening feel like you've gained new friends. Pretty cool.

I just love this age. Baby's first year I always recommend newborn and when your little one is sitting up unassisted around 6-8 months. The first year goes by so quickly and there's so many milestones to capture.

So many thoughts come to mind to share but the one that stands out - don't hesitate to capture this special time. Every couple tells me their not photogenic, every mom doesn't feel her best, every couple is exhausted. So no don't hesitate. These beautiful pictures you always see are those people, not perfection and not models. Just everyday families not wanting to miss capturing a single moment.

I slack at sharing family sessions so here's a beautiful family of six. This included a 4 year old, twin 2 year olds and a 5 month old. Any photographer knows those ages can be a challenge but it can also be also be the most fun keeping this girl on her toes.

It's a beautiful day and summer is on the brain. For years I've always been crazy busy with sessions and this summer/fall I've decided to slow down a bit and spend more time with my kiddos. So with that being said if your hesitating on booking a session with me be sure to make that decision quickly as I'm taking on a limited amount of sessions for the next few months so my schedule will fill up quickly.

On another note look at this beautiful babe, absolutely precious.
