If you want your session at the beach, your photographer should never ask you to climb in the dunes or sit on delicate soil or plants.

A photographer should recognize the importance of protecting the environment.

This pose was created by sitting on a walking path through the dunes, photographing low, and using a long lens. The look resembles sitting in the dunes but nothing fragile was disturbed.

If your photographer asks you to sit or stand in an area that doesn’t feel respectful to the environment, speak up and ask them to create a similar look without disturbing the ecosystem.

Crawled through crazy traffic to get to this session, but it was worth every slowdown, fender bender, construction crew, and overall route 128 nonsense.

The weather almost made us do the ceremony in the “Tunnel of Terror.” Luckily, we were able to convince Mother Nature to behave. But still, we needed a photo in the tunnel.

Today’s photography adventure is an outdoor wedding in Alexandria, VA.

Today’s senior session is a five hour adventure through the white mountains that will include standing in a river, driving to an overlook, hiking to a waterfall, hiking to an iconic view point, and a sunset with a Mountain View.
